Product principles
Private by default and designed around real life
- Local-first direction: personal relationship data should stay under the user’s control.
- Quality over quantity: the product is for maintaining meaningful connections, not collecting contacts.
- Chosen family counts: closeness is not limited to biological family or professional labels.
- Boundaries are valid: people can be paused or kept outside active circles without public judgment.
- The user remains the authority: software may suggest reflection, but it does not score human worth.
